The Consulting Management Committee is currently operating under a revised committee charge, approved by Provost Lejuez on June 27, 2021. The full procedures will be updated in the coming weeks to reflect this change, with approval of updated policy and procedures expected at the September 29, 2021 meeting of the Board of Trustees.
The Consulting Management Committee, Committee Charge from Procedures on Faculty Consulting:
A Consulting Management Committee will be convened, as an advisory committee, to provide faculty perspectives on the faculty consulting process. This advice may include, but is not limited to:
- Guidance and feedback on proposed policy and procedural changes.
- Guidance and feedback on implementation of changes requested via the annual audit process.
- Feedback to relevant University staff related to faculty experiences with the consulting request and approval process.
The Consulting Management Committee will comprise, at a minimum:
- Two faculty members from UConn Health
- Two faculty members from UConn – Storrs
- One tenure-track and one CIRE faculty
- One faculty member from a UConn regional campuses (Avery Point, Hartford, Stamford, or Waterbury)
- One Administrator (i.e., Department Head or Dean’s Designee)
- Directors of Faculty Consulting Offices (ex officio) (UConn and UConn Health)
- The University’s designated Ethics Liaison (ex officio)
- The Provost’s Designee (ex officio)
Members will serve on the Committee for a three-year term. If a member departs the Committee before their appointment ends, an alternate will be appointed to complete the remaining appointment term. Members cannot serve more than two consecutive terms.
